I was once fortunate to visit the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico,and as I had always admired her work I had the pleasure of spending several hours soaking up her paintings, particularly her large scale flowers.

This tulip reminded me of many of her compositions of single bold images. I love the elegance and regal beauty of this tulip and the feminine flowing movement of the petals. By enlarging the tulip I felt I had captured its true  essence.
